Cables have long been thought to be too hard for new knitters to make. I am proof that that is a huge misconception. I learned to knit just so I could make socks and cables. Cabled socks were my first knitted project! My knitting was wobbly and my stitches were uneven but I managed to make a wearable pair my first try. Blocking made my stitches match and my cables were able to really sing. If you want to learn to make cables, please don't listen to those who say you can't. If the will is there, you can master it too! This is an easy to memorize pattern repeat.
