Relaxing garter stitch and playful eyelet stripes make Currant Jam a perfect summer knit. It’s familiar and easy to make, but has a refreshing twist, just like currant jam. This shawl has an asymmetric triangle shape and is knit on the bias, so the rows are never very long.
As delightful as its sugary counterpart, Currant Jam is a real treat. Easy to knit and easy to wear. You need just one skein of fingering weight yarn.
You will need 400 m / 437 yds of fingering weight yarn. The sample was knit using Lanitium ex Machina Pure Merino Fingering in Mountains of the Moon. An alternative yarn is suggested below.
