Product Description
When I designed this shawl, I wanted a no-fuss wrap that stayed on my shoulders without having to be pinned or fastened. I wanted a wrap that I could toss on and forget.
The Crossroads Cape does all that with a semi-circular shape made up of five triangular wedges. It has an easy top-down construction that was designed for fingering weight yarns, but also works with DK yarns for a larger, cozier wrap.
Depending on the yarn you use, this cape would be perfect for a night out, or quick trip to the grocery.
Included are written instructions and four charts.
Single color shawl: 460 yards of fingering weight yarn. 4.5mm (#7) hook. A larger hook may be used for more drape and a lighter shawl.
Two color shawl: color A (border and middle) 260 yds fingering weight, color B (mesh sections) 200 yds fingering weight.
DK weight needs 5.5 mm ( I) hook and 740 yds, or Color A—420, Color B—326 yds. Beading optional.
