These lovely fingerless mitts were made with autumn in mind and feature a pretty fan stitch.
The original pattern was launched in 2017 and it has been revised and updated in 2026 for clarity and improved construction.
Use approx. 50g fingering weight/4ply yarn for the mitts noting that due to the nature of the stitch pattern they tend to look better in a solid or tonal colour.
The mitts fit an average size female hand (approx. 20cm diameter) - sizing can be altered by using different hooks sizes (guidance is given for this in the pattern. The pattern starts with a chainless foundation with ribbing worked using front and back posts before moving on to the main section.
This pattern has been tech edited and test crocheted and is provided in UK terminology only.
