Coffee Filter Basket

Crochet a decorative basket for holding your coffee filters so you can have them easily accessible on your counter instead of shoved in a cabinet. This basket can be made to compliment your kitchen decor. It can also be used to store tea bags or sweetener packets.

Made to fit a 200 count package of 8-12 cup disposable filters.

Basket is worked tightly to give it shape. Use 100% cotton yarn in worsted weight for best results. 2 skeins each of each color or if worked in one color 4 skeins. You will use just a little bit more than one skein of each color (61 grams of each color plus 6 grams for optional knob).

J hook (6mm) for basket and lid and an H hook (5mm) for knob

Worked double stranded except for the optional knob which can be worked around a water bottle cap or stuffed with yarn ends or batting.
