Caraid

This beautiful lace wrap was inspired by the Scottish landscape. The heather-covered moors, rolling hills and meandering footpaths. The gentle, soft air and open skies. The pretty lace patterns in the shawl hold the memories of the views in the highlands.

Caraid was also inspired by the joy of making a new friend. It’s a shawl that is great to wrap around yourself, or a friend, when you need to add a layer of warmth. Like a hug from a friend.

You will need 800 m / 876 y of fingering weight yarn. The sample was knit using two skeins of Tuskenknits Fife in Doune. An alternative yarn is suggested below.
