Product Description
Description: A two coloured chevron pattern hat which is achieved by applying the mosaic knitting technique using slipped stitches and only working one colour at a time. The hat is available in three sizes. Size 1 fits small children under one year of age. Size 2 fits children from around ten years of age as well as adult with small heads. Size 3 fits adults with larger heads. A matching cowl is available.
Needle Size: 3.5 mm/US 4 and 4 mm/US 6 Circular needles or DPNs. Or needle size to obtain gauge.
Yarn: Knit by Numbers (DK weight; 100% Merino, 100g – 250 m/273 yds), Shades: A: one skein KBN05 and B: one skein KBN21.
Gauge (after blocking): In Stockinette and using larger needles: 22 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm/4”; in Chevron pattern using larger needles: 22 sts and 46 rows = 10 cm/4”.
Final measurements: Small (Medium, Large): Height: 15 cm/6.1” (18.2 cm/7.2”, 23.5 cm/9.25”); Circumference: 44.5 cm/17.5” (55.9 cm/22”, 66 cm/26”).
