Cables A-side

This hat is knitted in a nameless pure merino wool that I found in a sale bucket. It had undergone a dyeing accident, so the color was made in my opinion more interesting by the lighter bars: not enough to hide the motives, but enough to add a little interest. Cables a-side is knitted in the round on a 16” (40 cm) circular needle and on DPNs from the bottom up. The hat has an unusual construction: the tall ribbed border is divided in two sections, the first gets folded under the second for extra warmth. The cables continue on the crown and the crown is decreased on the two sides of the cables.
