Cable connection Shawl

A cable pattern like a chain -

Which I associate with strong and unbreakable connection.

In this shawl you will start with a ribbing pattern giving the tips of the shawl. The ribbing pattern will be expanded successively and then the cable pattern starts from the middle to the edge by inserting more cables. If you want to lengthen the shawl – taking into consideration that you will need more yardage – you can work more repeats before reducing the cable pattern successively and mirroring the first part.

180x 10-30cm

Yarn

660m Cashmerino by Featherfin yarn (80% Merino, 20% Cashmere, 250m/273yards per 100g) or another yarn or yarn combination (Fingering + Lace) which gives you a DK weight yarn and needed gauge.

Needle / hook

4mm (US 6) cable needle 40cm – or a needle which gives you the required gauge.
