Product Description
This is a corner to corner crochet version of my Christmas Pudding chart, this version includes a c2c picture chart and a colour-coded written version for those who prefer to follow worded instructions. I have also included a "how to corner to corner crochet" guide for those who might not have crocheted an image. The guide also has a border option for those who may want to add a decorative edge to their finished blanket.
The finished blanket will be a different size depending on the yarn you use (using 4ply gives you a lovely baby blanket size)

C2C - Christmas Pudding Corner to Corner Blanket
What is Being Made
This is a corner to corner crochet blanket featuring a Christmas pudding design. The blanket is created using the corner to corner (C2C) technique, a popular crochet method that builds a project diagonally from one corner to the opposite corner. The finished piece displays a festive Christmas pudding motif suitable for holiday decoration or as a seasonal throw blanket.
Craft and Primary Technique
This project is designed for crochet crafters at an intermediate skill level. The corner to corner technique is a structured method that uses a grid-based approach, making it ideal for creating graphical designs and images within crochet fabric. This technique involves working in diagonal rows and is particularly effective for producing clear, defined patterns with color changes.
Stitches and Technical Details
Corner to corner crochet primarily utilizes double crochet stitches worked in a grid formation. The pattern follows a numbered chart system that guides crafters through each row, indicating where to place stitches and when to change colors. The chart provided shows numbered rows from 1 to 82, allowing crafters to track their progress systematically as they build the blanket from corner to corner.
Materials and Yarn Specifications
This pattern is designed for DK weight yarn, which is a medium-weight yarn that creates a fabric with good drape and structure suitable for blankets. The color palette includes Cloud, Meadow, White, Red, Camel, and Black yarns, with specific yardage requirements: 614 yards of the primary color, 118 yards, 378 yards, 27 yards, 564 yards, and 15 yards for the remaining colors. An appropriate crochet hook for DK weight yarn is required to complete this project.
Pattern Format and Designer Information
This is a downloadable PDF pattern designed by Instarsia, created by designer EJHeywood. The pattern includes a detailed picture chart that serves as the primary guide for color placement and stitch positioning. According to the designer, Instarsia charts are versatile and can be adapted for use with knitting or crochet projects, offering crafters flexibility in how they approach the design.
