Bristol

All the designs in my College Collection are inspired by the universities that mean a lot to me and mine. And it doesn't seem too long ago that my sister was at Bristol studying for her Post Graduate Certificate of Education. Although, it's amazing how quickly time flies!

We grew up near Bristol too, and one of my overwhelming impressions from when I was little was the number of big brick buildings. Bristol is one of the 'red brick' universities and also well known for its ties to engineering and construction. When contemplating the scarf's design, I wanted it to have a solid, constructed feel that incorporated decorative 'brick' motifs not just to reflect this, but because my sister laid the foundation for her teaching career here.

Bristol is an elegant Aran weight project with a cosy, homely feel that is ideal for knitters of all abilities. It's a fun, relaxing knit that can be finished with or without fringing, styled in a variety of ways and a great addition to any autumnal war
