I wanted to make an Easter Basket that actually looked like a braided basket and this is what I came up with. The Braided Basket uses a combination of Puff Stitches and Double Crochet. These 2 stitches together create the Braided look. The braided look itself comes into play when you start your turning rows.
The Basket measures 4" x 4" The Handle measures 12" x 1 1/2"
The braided basket can be made bigger or smaller by using the Gauge inside the crochet pattern.
Materials 100-120 yds of #4 ply Worsted/Aran Weight Yarn US H Crochet Hook or 5 mm
The Braided Basket would make a great Easter Basket; could be adjusted to use for storage; or just a Home Decor element for your home.
This is a great scrap buster. You can make it in 1 color or as many colors as you like.
