Blocked Waves

Undulating waves of colour blocked lace make for eye- catching legs! But whilst these waves look mighty impressive, the lace is simple enough that this makes for a relaxing knit. Zoom zoom zoom through the vanilla foot and before you know it you’ll have a brand new pair of socks. Go for a fade, a bright rainbow or more muted tones, the choice is all yours! This pattern is worked in the round from the cuff down. Knit from the top down, with a heel flap and gusset construction, the foot can de knit to any desired length.

Sizing

Size small (large), with a 7.5 (9)” (19 (23) cm) circumference and a cast on of 60 (72) stitches. Socks are intended to be worn with 0.5 to 1" (1 to 3 cm) negative ease.

Materials:

*250 meters (273 yards) fingering weight yarn (MC1).

*25 meters (27 yards) of fingering weight yarn for each contrasting wave (CC).

*2.5 mm (US 1.5) double pointed or circular needles.

*Tapestry needle.
