Product Description
The construction for these mitts is slightly different than typical. Knit the chain cable and join the two ends, then pick up stitches for the hand. It is a slightly more complex cable than a simple crossover. This pattern includes instructions for both fingerless and full-hand mittens. The matching Beorn hat is also available, in DK and Worsted.
Finished Size: 7.5” circumference, stretches approximately 2.5”
Yarn: Cascade 220 or any worsted weight yarn, approximately 130 yards (150 for mittens)
Needles: Circular needles and set of 5 double-pointed needles or your preferred method for knitting in the round; size 6 US (4.0 mm) or size to obtain gauge
Gauge: One repeat of chain cable (knit flat) = 3.5 inches wide by 2.25 long [22 stitches/26 rows stockinette in the round/4”]
