What Is Being Made

The Beeswax Mitts are a pair of cosy, cabled hand-warmers designed to complete the coordinating Beeswax collection, which also includes a matching hat and cowl. These mitts feature a distinctive double-layered honeycomb pattern that flows naturally into and out of the ribbing, creating a cohesive and visually striking design. The mitts are available in two sizes to accommodate different hand dimensions, with Size 1 fitting palm circumferences of 7–7.5 inches (18–19 cm) and Size 2 fitting 8–8.5 inches (20.5–21.5 cm). The finished mitts measure approximately 4–4.5 inches (10–11.5 cm) in width at the widest part and extend 6.25–8.5 inches (16–21.5 cm) in length from the cast-on edge at the wrist to the bind-off at the knuckles.

Techniques Used

This advanced knitting project employs several key techniques to create its structured, textured appearance. The primary construction method is knitting in the round, which produces seamless mitts with continuous fabric.
