Bangor

When mulling over the designs for my College Collection, I wanted to reflect the two elements that made Bangor, where I attended universtity, so special to me. Situated between the hills and mountains of Snowdonia and the Menai Strait and Irish Sea, you either loved hill walking or sailing at the weekends and I wanted to incorporate stitches that represented the misty hills that could be seen from the main university building, and the choppiness of the sea. And being reversible, you can either wear the scarf on the side where the 'hills' pattern is more prominent or on the other for the 'sea'.

It's an elegant, versatile to style college style scarf and suitable for knitters of all abilities. It's a fun, simple project that needs an element of row counting, but being an Aran knit it's easy to check back so you can switch off for a little while making this a great box set companion.

So no matter who you knit this scarf for, this scarf is a fabulous addition to any Autumn/Winter wardrobe.
