Awake!

Awake! came about as i was opening my eyes one lazy morning. In my mind’s eye, I suddenly saw this design - finished and knitted - in a warm sunny yellow. The rows of eyelets seemed to me to be like rays of sunlight streaming to the ground. I had to get a pen and paper to quickly sketch the details before I forgot it - and after that, of course, I was awake, and had to get up. The shawl named itself! Then I spent about 2 hours searching ravelry, convinced that I must have been subconsciously inspired by seeing a similar design in someone else’s portfolio - but I was unable to find anything quite like it. So... here it is!

Awake! is knitted from the top down, and has two versions. One suits gradient yarns and is a simpler stitch pattern; and the other has more stitch variation and suits plain colour yarns. Both are symmetrical triangle.

You can knit awake with any 100g skein (approx 350-450yd)
