Gauge: 21 sts in 4 in / 10cm in stockinette stitch (row gauge is not important – measurements are given instead of row count).

You will need: DK yarn (up to 300 grams), knitting needles to obtain the gauge, safety pin, stitch marker, locking stitch marker, darning needle. Optional: several decorative buttons.
