In my daydreams I am incredibly rich and spend summers sailing around the Chesapeake on my gorgeous yacht. No matter that I have zero sailing experience. In these dreams, I’m always dressed like RachelMcAdams in Wedding Crashers: vibrant headscarf, gauzy pants and the perfect white cotton summer sweater. After spending years looking for such a sweater, I finally decided to design one myself. This is a sweater for cool summer evenings, moonlit walks on a breezy beach and, yes, afternoons on the yacht with the wind whipping through your hair. It’s knit at a loose gauge in sport weight yarn, so it’s light and airy and features an easy-to-memorize stitch pattern.
