The pumpkin size depends on the yarn, knitting tension and filling density. In order to keep fabric tight enough so that the stuffing won’t show through, use needles smaller than recommended for the yarn.

Pumpkin may be knit in any yarn, this information is just for example:

Gauge: 24st and 36r = 10cm

Yarn: 27-87m of any DK-weight Yarn e.g.: Sirdar Snuggly Replay DK (50% Cotton, 50% Acrylic; 50g/150m). For stem: ~2 m of yarn in a different color.

Needles (DPNs or circular): №3 — 3.5

Appr. size of the resulting pumpkin and how much yarn is needed for it:

S: d ~ 8,5cm, 9g — 27m

M: d ~ 11,5cm, 15g — 45m

L: d ~ 15cm, 29g — 87m
