Alumroot Tam

I've always loved coral bells, or alum root, with their tiny flowers (ranging from white to pink to red, depending on the species) on tall stems above their mounded foliage.

California has multiple native species including the Island alum root, Heuchera maxima; pink alum root, Heuchera rubescens; and the common alum root, Heuchera micrantha. Multiple hybrids, such as Heuchera 'Old La Rochette' and Heuchera 'Canyon Duet', can also be purchased at nurseries.
