Alex's Mittens

These mittens should fit an average sized man's hand, but could very easily be downsized to fit a smaller hand by tightening the gauge to 6 - 6.5 stitches per inch. Eco Wool is really an aran weight, and thicker than most worsted weight wools, so I'd recommend this tighter gauge if you're using something like Cascade 220, Wool of the Andes, or most popular worsted weights. A tight fabric is good for mittens.
