Alameda

Alameda is an avenue, a broad road with trees along its sides. Poplars, ash, maple, and linden trees, you can find them all alongside Lisbon avenues. The wide sections of the shawl, garter stitch and lace are a reminder of those wide spaces. The lace pattern is simple and easy to memorize, the yarn is soft and a pleasure to knit with! I used Dyed by Alfinete Sueste, a sport weight hand dyed merino yarn, but you can use one of those precious yarns in your stash, the ones we want to use to the last inch. You’ll have a new shawl ready to use in no time at all, a warm touch of colour to brighten up your outfit.
