Airy Cashmere Scarf-fine fiber care

Welcome and I look forward to seeing how all of your projects come along! Obviously this is a simple scarf pattern done in basic stockinette stitch. However after many many years of knitting with incredible fibers, and having them slowly disintegrate, become holey, loose life and become a listless and lackluster, scarf or otherwise. ( This is not limited to the fiber used in this pattern. Alpaca, qiviut, silks and such should all be treated the same as the cashmere I used) I felt it was time to do some serious research and find out just what worked best, how to do so, and how to write it up in a way that was user friendly to read and understand. Many many swatches later, and more money than my other half needs to know about, I have figured out what holds up best, treats the fibers the way they deserve, as well as preserve them for many many years.
