Aejej is a Moroccan desert whirlwind so vicious that the fellahin (peasants or farmers, derived from the Arabic word for ploughman or tiller) are said to defend themselves against it with knives.
Materials: approximately 215 yards / 200 meters of Aran weight “singles” yarn in Main Color (MC)
205 yards / 190 meters in Contrast Color (CC)
Finished Measurements: approximate width of 6 inches / 15 cm
approximate length of 64 inches / 163 cm (without tassels)
Skills Required: Casting on provisionally, chart reading, knitting in the round, knitting stitches together from two needles with a third needle, increasing and decreasing, grafting live stitches, making tassels.
