Aculeus Cowl

Taking its name from the stinger of a scorpion, the Aculeus Cowl is a celebration of contrasts: it marries an allover scorpion motif with Crafty Jak’s Delicious DK, an aptly named and incredibly plush Bluefaced Leicester. The cowl is knit in the round as a tube then given a half twist and joined at the ends. The result is a cozy double-layered fabric and the snuggliest arachnids you’ll ever encounter. I promise not to let the colorwork be scarier than the scorpions: tips and techniques are included to help take the sting out of Fair Isle knitting.
