Product Description
You can find this pattern for FREE on my site. But if you want to help me continue creating (or prefer the convenience of having a PDF) you can buy this version from a symbolic price. LEVEL: Beginner - Knowledge of basic amigurumi stitches (including magic ring, single crochet, increase, decrease). I will explain you with pictures how to assemble all the pieces and how to do the details in this amigurumi. PDF (printable): 7 pages with very detailed instructions with 18 photos (step-by-step visual aid). This pattern is written with US terms, but it includes a chart with the US, UK and Brazilian terms.
The size of the acorn with little eyes (called Jovis) is 6 cm (2.5 inches) tall, using Aran weight yarn (AKA medium / 4 / worsted / afghan) with a 3.0 mm crochet hook (US E/4 - UK-Can 9).
Yarn quantity? Almost nothing... Except for the threads to hang the talisman that I ended using 210 cm (but this depends on how long you want it).
Acorn Charm by Onpoki - Paula Fuentes
What Is Being Made
The Acorn charm is a small crocheted toy design created by independent designer Onpoki, known as Paula Fuentes. This project produces a miniature acorn-shaped accessory suitable for use as a charm. The pattern is designed to capture the elegant form of an acorn seed, making it an ideal decorative piece for bags, keychains, or other applications where a small handmade embellishment is desired.
Craft and Techniques
This project uses crochet as the primary construction method. The pattern is classified as beginner-level difficulty, making it an excellent choice for those new to crochet or looking for a quick, manageable project. The design demonstrates fundamental crochet techniques suitable for creating small three-dimensional toy forms.
Stitches and Construction
While the PDF content indicates the pattern includes detailed stitch instructions and materials guidance, the specific stitch types used in the acorn charm construction are referenced within the full pattern documentation. The designer provides clear step-by-step instructions for assembling the charm, with options for creating variations in size and appearance.
Materials and Yarn Specifications
The pattern accommodates aran weight yarn, offering flexibility in yarn selection. The designer provides 2 primary construction options for creating the acorn charm, with the smallest version referred to as the "Charm" size. The pattern notes that crafters can experiment with different yarn weights and crochet hook sizes based on their preferences and desired finished dimensions. Specific hook recommendations and yarn quantities are detailed within the complete pattern instructions.
Pattern Features and Design Elements
The Acorn charm pattern includes an informative appendix section dedicated to the symbolism and cultural significance associated with acorns.
