Product Description
A feel-happy color mixes so well with lace knitting and a cozy silhouette! This open front cardigan is exactly what I need to brighten up an outfit with just the right amount of pretty mixed with comfy.
The cardigan is knit from the bottom up, with sleeves picked up and knit down to the cuffs. The collar and front bands are then picked up and knit in one piece, giving this cardigan a wide ribbed finish.
The lace is a simple combination of decreases and increases, which quickly evolves into a beautiful curving lace design that is gorgeous used as the all-over pattern. Ribbing at the yoke simplifies the shoulder and neckline shaping and provides a little bit of contrast in texture.
Knit up on size 10 needles, this cardigan will knit up surprisingly fast! Knit-in pockets are optional, but add to the cozy-ness. Sleeve length is easily adjusted by knitting more or less rows.
The sample was made with DROPS Nepal Mix. A suggested substitute yarn is shown below.
