1920's Shell Cloche Hat

American crochet terms.

This is an easy pattern appropriate for a beginner. It is crocheted from the top down in a pretty shell pattern with a scalloped edge. It has the look of a flapper hat from the 20s. It can be made with any worsted weight yarn.
