Warm and Fluffy Fingerless Mitts

These folded cuff fingerless mitts are a quick and fun knit that will become your go-to winter accessory or make a wonderful gift. The folded top cuffs add extra warmth due to the double layer of rib, or you can unfold them to cover your fingers up completely. A great option for both keeping warm AND keeping fingers free for using a phone, typing, knitting, etc.

The suggested yarn is a fingering weight yarn paired with a lace weight brushed yarn - hence the name “Warm and Fluffy” - which creates a soft fuzzy fabric that feels luxurious and insulates well. You may use any fingering weight yarn you like paired with any lace weight brushed yarn you like (typically mohair, cashmere or alpaca).

This is a great project for single skeins and project leftovers since a pair of mitts uses les than 1 ball of each yarn.

This pattern keeps things simple with 2x2 rib for the cuffs and stockinette for the hand, so makes for a great on-the-go or TV knit.
