Vigneto is Italian for vineyard.
Vigneto Shawl is slightly asymmetrical in shape and design but simple to knit. It is cast on at one wingtip with the striped texture stitch (the rows of grapevines) and ends at the other wingtip with the leafy lace border. When worn, the rows of grapevines curve becomingly around your shoulders and then sprout into leaves.
Both the striped texture stitch and the lace border pattern may be repeated any number of times making this very easy to adjust in size and in yardage required.
The stitch patterns are charted only but very easy to follow.
Sample shown, blocked: 52" by 21" and used 370m.
Any fingering weight wool or wool blend will work well with this pattern. Gauge: 20 sts to 4" over stocking stitch, unblocked.
