What is Being Made

Thuidium Socks is a downloadable knitting pattern for hand-knitted socks designed by Cheryl Eaton. This project creates a finished pair of socks with a foot circumference range of 6.5 to 9.5 inches, accommodating sizes 1 through 4. The pattern is suitable for knitters with intermediate-level skills and produces socks with a finished circumference of 5.5 to 8.5 inches depending on the chosen size.

Knitting Techniques Used

Yarn and Materials

The pattern calls for Debbie Bliss Toast yarn in the Forest (08) colorway. This is a light fingering weight yarn with a fiber composition of 65% wool, 25% polyamide, and 10% cashmere, providing warmth, durability, and luxury. One ball of yarn (459 yards per 100 grams) is sufficient to complete the project. The recommended needle size is 2.25mm (US 1) needles for working in the round, though the pattern notes that any needle size may be used to achieve the specified gauge.
