Rustic but with luxury. Colour palette is excellent, meterage is brilliant. Perfect for colourwork patterns as fibres grip well but I would advise sewing up any side seams in a stronger yarn if pattern isn’t in the round. Soft as an individual strand but robust yet comfortable and warm as a knitted fabric. Wears well. Looks and feels like quality heritage item. Handwashes and blocks beautifully. Not a beginner level yarn due to its need for even regular tension, no over tightening nor yanking!...

I was very disappointed with this yarn, it is nowhere near as soft as I was expecting, given it's fibre content, and I found it rather stiff to knit. It is also rather knobbly, but not in a softly slubby way, so stitch definition is poor and tension looks uneven, even when it actually isn't. I won't buy it again
