Détails du produit

In the southern hemisphere, we don’t have snow at Christmas-time. But that’s never stopped us making cut-out paper snowflakes to decorate our homes and classrooms - even those of us who haven’t ever seen a real snowflake!

The ‘Paper Snowflake’ hat is inspired by this childhood holiday ritual. The snowflake is outlined with simple mini-cables, and the ‘cut-outs’ are purled for contrast. Skills needed include knitting in the round, knit, purl, basic decreases, and 2-stitch cables.

Materials: 100-215 yards / 92-197 metres of sock or fingering-weight yarn. One 50g ball of Morris Empire 4ply will be enough for any size except the Adult Large, which will need two balls. Choose a smooth, bouncy yarn for a nicely defined texture.

Yards/meters required: 100yds/92m (130yds/119m, 140yds/128m, 165yds/151m, 215yds/197m)

Both charted and written instructions are included.

Pattern is for personal use only.
