Détails du produit

This is the sample garment that I knit for the book, [Hitch: Patterns Inspired by the Films of Alfred Hitchcock][2]. In it, Barbara Bel Geddes plays the part of Midge, the gal-next-door in Vertigo. Her intelligent, comfortable way inspired this one-piece, top-down, 3/4 sleeve polo shirt. Worked in heavy fingering/ sport weight yarn, this everyday-wear sweater has an unusual construction – the Contiguous method. In this method you increase at the top of the shoulder every row until the desired shoulder width is reached, giving the perfect fit. This also creates the look of a set-in sleeve without seaming. A strip of fabric on the button band adds a pop of color, while glass buttons add a bit of drama to a simple sweater.

Confession - this yarn is so incredible next to the skin, neither I, nor my model wanted to take it off. I really could wear this everyday!

You will also need:
7-8 1/2 in. (10mm) buttons, a strip of contrasting fabric, measuring between 13.75-15.25 inches x 2
