I offer you this Christmas Shawl that starts at the top of the hood (with heavy worsted in a lovely Christmas Red) and continues through to the hem.
This amazing creation is a celebration of Celtic knitting – cables, twisted stitches, seed stitch and combinations of all those coalesce into this classic garment that is as much fun to knit as it is to wear. Knit completely in one piece with increases strategically placed to then “grow” into more stitch patterns, the project takes approximately 1400 yards of heavy worsted wool.
Directions are charted and written out – but due to the nature of each individual stitch pattern, you will need to keep track of what’s happening when. This is not a design for the faint of heart!
