Inspired by the moody skies I saw when crossing the Kintyre peninsula to the isle of Islay, "Moody Skies" is a loosely draped camisole vest top with a plain stockinette stitch front, which beautifully highlights the self-variegating Portland Lace yarn from The Yarn Collective, and a contrasting Chinese lace stitch back with a deep scoop neck. I-cord detailing at cast on and bind off provides a neat edging. Special techniques include I-cord cast on and bind off, picking up stitches along the neck edge, and Chinese lace stitch.
