The crochet Honeycomb coin purse pattern came to be because my old purse was falling to bits. I wanted something that fit neatly into the palm of my hand, that would hold both coins and folded notes. I couldn't find what I was looking for, so decided to make my own. So many people admired it when I was out and about, and asked where they could get one. So, I decided to publish the pattern.

A word of caution! The yarn I recommend using is a 2-3mm macrame cotton cord. When I made my first one, I did it in acrylic yarn. Within a few weeks, it had a VERY saggy bottom. I cut off the clasp and redid it with twisted cotton cord, which has worked a treat. The purple purse in the pictures is my personal one. I have been using it for over a year now and it still looks great. You could possibly try substituting for a 100% cotton yarn in a DK or Aran weight, but they do tend to be a bit softer than the macrame cord and may not stand the test of time as well as mine.
