This pattern was a heavenly collaboration with TheUncommonThread. I had the pleasure to work with Heavenly DK, a supremely soft yarn (70% Baby Alpaca, 20% Silk and 10% Cashmere) with a slight shine, that Ce dyes in her fantastic colors.
To show off the beauty and wonderful drape of the yarn, the design is pared down from any visible construction, classy and elegant with some cute little eyelet details for the fun to knit AND to wear (preferably next to your skin).
It's knit seamlessly in one piece from the top down. After the collar is worked with an eyelet round, the neck is shaped by short rows while working the increases for the body and sleeves. The yoke continues in the round to the armholes, then the sleeves and body are worked separately in the round.
Optionally you can place a colorful ribbon or i-cord through the eyelets at the top or / and bottom of the sweater to fix or to gather the width.
