Détails du produit

The green turtle is a large sea turtle with a range that extends throughout seas around the world. Green turtles are the oceans’ lawnmowers and by eating the tips of the blades of seagrass, they keep the grass healthy. Therefore, don’t forget to knit the sea grass as well, so your turtle won’t go hungry!

This green turtle measures 15 cm from head to tail. It’s a fun, fast and easy to medium project, knitted on 2.25 mm double pointed needles (UK 13, US 1) in Scheepjes Riverwashed (951) Amazone, Rowan Felted Tweed (184) celadon and Scheepjes Merino Soft (602) Raphaël. It asks for knitting flat, in the round and i-cord, intarsia color work and short rows, forward and backward knitting and some embroidering. The sea grass is an easy knit, done with Scheepjes Riverwashed (954) Congo.

In Hawaii the green turtle is called ‘honu’ and symbolizes good luck and longevity. So, needles crossed, this green sea turtle’ll bring you luck, too!
