A customer requested a blanket and hat for a new baby girl:
Here’s the request:
*nursery is a forest theme.
*simple, clean lines, forest green colors, and “not boyish”.
*machine wash and dry
*small enough for the car seat and stroller
She’s thrilled with the result....squee!
Two colors of green, knit in garter stitch with a “tree bark” brown, crocheted edge keeps it simple. A sweet, orange fox (iron on applique) brings the theme in and ties it altogether.
Deceptively simple pattern with spectacular results!
I used Sprightly Yarns found on Craftsy.com. Any worsted weight (4) yarn will work.

- You need one iron on applique. I found mine at Joan Fabrics. The hook is needed for the crocheted edge, however feel free to knit an edge.
