A very easy pattern with an easy to remember repeat using only knit and purl stitches to create a simple yet stylish blanket that knits up quickly using Aran or Chunky yarn.
For the Aran blanket you will need approx. 200 grams of Aran baby yarn / #4 medium (300 metres approx.) and one pair of 6 mm UK size , (size 10 USA size) knitting needles.
For the Chunky blanket you will need approx. 400 grams of Chunky yarn / #5 Bulky (550 metres approx.) and one pair of 6.5 mm UK size , (size 10.5 USA size) knitting needles.
Approx. finished size of Aran blanket 24 x 31 inches. Approx. finished size of Chunky blanket 29 x 39 inches.
