The mittens are worked bottom-up in rounds and are mirror-symmetrical: in the left mitten, the cabled spirals are left-leaning, in the right mitten, they are right-leaning. Shown in Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran color Lime (502), any worsted or aran weight yarn with crisp stitch definition will work for this pattern (alternative yarns suggested below).
