Détails du produit

Are you ready for the summer, the sea, and a sunny beach? This shawl truly fits into that mood with its light silk fibres and the drop-stitch pattern, the airy sea foam lace, which is reminiscent of the wash of the waves and sea shells.

I was inspired instantly when a friend gave me this amazing yarn she purchased in Portugal. This origin of the yarn is the reason why I gave the pattern the name of the Portuguese word for “shell”, Concha.

Concha is a triangular shawl worked from the tip upwards to the long edge. This way the waves, or shells, are neatly stacked on top of each other like the shingles on a roof.

This detail makes for a beautiful edge that makes other knitters go: How did you do that? And it´s still not complicated at all.

The sample was knit in Butterfly Ecológico Rosários 4. A substitute yarn is shown below.
