Détails du produit

Stranded mitts = super cosy hands! And that’s just what we need as the weather gets cooler. Colourwork gets a graphic, modern update with the Briar Rose Mitts. Inspired by rambling roses, these eye-catching seamless mitts are fun to knit and wear.

Techniques to try with this design: stranded colourwork; reading charts; corrugated rib; duplicate stitch. Yes, it’s a knitterly workout but the stunning results are well worth the effort.

The pattern in neutral colours is lifted by tiny red flowers worked in duplicate stitch. The palms are striped, while the thumbs use a checkerboard pattern.

The sample is knitted in Baa Ram Ewe’s 4ply yarn, Pip Colourwork. For a colourful variation, why not use several different colours to work the roses?

Use any fingering weight yarn, approx. 20 (25, 30)g each of yarns A and B, plus small amount of yarn C, for working the flowers in duplicate stitch.

This pattern has been professionally tech edited by the team at The Knitter magazine, and has been test knit.

Spindrift comes in a huge selection of shades, and these mitts would work well in many different colour combinations.
