The Bee Stitch Cardigan, inspired by classic sportswear, is a study in textures. The body features a brioche-like bee stitch, the fitted sleeves showcase a stretchy slipped-stitch ribbing, and the body is edged in i-cord. This cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece from the top down with raglan shaping; the yoke and body are worked flat in rows and the sleeves are worked in the round after being separated from the body. Because of the difference in the stitch gauges between the bee stitch and the ribbing, the rates of increase also will vary between the body and the sleeves, so the yoke shaping is worked in sections. Be sure to obtain the same row gauge for both stitch patterns to ensure a smooth raglan.
