This basic vest pattern is a fun, oversized and chunky knit. The pattern can be worked up in about a week and is written for beginner level knitter. The vest is knit up in 2 panels and is made up of one front panel and one back panel. They are then seamed together and completed with a neckline and armhole bands that are knit along the edge of the vest. The pattern includes sizes XS to 5XL and the sample is knit in size M.
The techniques you will need to know are knit, purl, 1x1 rib, cast on, cast off, k2tog and ssk1. However, if you are a relative beginner looking for a challenge, photos are included throughout and video tutorials can be found following the links on the last page.
