580 LOOPY Flower & leaf applique or brooch

If you use worsted weight yarn, and a size 6.5mm crochet hook, you will get a 4 inch diameter flower. A size 5.5 hook, will result in a 2 inch diameter flower. Use sport weight yarn, and a size 4.5 mm hook, for a smaller flower. Crochet thread and a small metallic hook will result in a small, compact flower! Or if you would like a gigantic 6 inch flower, for a pillow or other such large item, use 2 strands of worsted weight yarn, and a size 9mm crochet hook!
