I adore crocheted lace. And with this lovely and whimsical coaster set, the crocheted lace is both pretty and a practical home accessory!
With their leafy edges, two or three coasters gently folded into a mini pot create a cheerful little succulent. Crochet the larger pot if you want to fit five coasters.
Each coaster is crocheted in the round, with sets of double crochet cluster stitches and chain spaces creating the pretty lace design. Less than 20 yards of light worsted or dk-weight yarn are required for each coaster, making this a budget-friendly and fairly quick project.
The pots are crocheted in a slightly thicker and stiffer yarn to give them structure. Optionally, add safety eyes and embroidery to give your pot a little personality. As the pot only requires about 21-34 yards of Aran-weight cotton yarn, this project is also a great stash buster.
