Hi Liz, the yarn is Rico Creative Lame - silver doubled up with KIng Cole Cosmos - Galactica which is like a lurex thread with sequins attached. It looks amazing although the photo does not do it justice. The sequins are hologram and when the light hits them they are all different colours . I was creating this page earlier today but I think the site froze and I couldn't finish it. I have only just logged on and was surprised that it had actually saved the project.
@Denise C: Thanks Denise, will save these in my “wish list” . Looking to make some sparkly things for Christmas and they will be perfect. Website has been a bit slow off and on all day. When I saw your project only two yarns were showing hence my question.😀😀
Dianne, I am so pleased with the wings. I absolutely love them. When the light shines on them the sequins appear in all different colours. I used two yarns silver lame and Cosmos, which is a lurex thread with sequins. I was half way through the first upper wing and I was regretting using these yarns. It is metalic so it doesn't glide along the needles and it is a bit more labour intensive than normal yarn but I got used to it and it got easier. It was a slow knit for me but that's not to say someone else would find it that way. I can honestly say that it was worth it. I still haven't finished Fariba. I did her hair today so hopefully I will finish her tomorrow. I put the photo of the wings on as I wanted everyone to see how lovely they were lol.
@Denise C: Your effort has definitely paid off, they are beautiful ! I’ve never used two yarns together. Can’t wait to see her hair and the rest of her! 😄
